ConvertKit Integration

Leadjetty's ConvertKit integration allows you to add a subscriber to a form as well as add to a tag or a sequence.

What you can do

  • Add a subscriber to your ConvertKit forms
  • Add a subscriber to a ConvertKit tag
  • Add a subscriber to a ConvertKit sequence
  • In each case if the email address is not a subscriber yet, one will be created for you.
  • Send additional details to ConvertKit: Email, First name and any custom fields that you have mapped in the integration settings.

How to activate the ConvertKit integration

Step 1 - Connect your ConvertKit account to your property

  • Navigate to the integration page
Navigate to the property you want to add the integration to. If you just started your Leadjetty account, you most likely only have one property, which would be your website.
You can find a list of all your properties under the "locator" icon in the sidebar (https://www.leadjetty.com/properties), then click on the relevant property to reveal the options.

Click on the Integrations tab.
  • Click the ConvertKit box

  • Add your api key and save
The api key can be found in your ConvertKit account under Account Settings / Account Info - Api Key.

Step 2 - Map the data you want sent to ConvertKit

Email and First Name are automatically sent for you to ConvertKit if you use a ConvertKit Action in your Leadjetty Flow.

Once your ConvertKit account is connected, if you have created any custom fields for your subscribers in ConvertKit, you will have the ability to choose a contact attribute data in Leadjetty to send to your custom ConvertKit fields.
For instance if you collect information in your Leadjetty Flows, such as a topic your visitors are interested in, you could set it up to be send to a matching field in their ConvertKit profile.

Step 3 - Using the integration in a Flow

After a contact enters their email address and name, you will probably want to subscriber the visitor to one of your ConvertKit form or add the visitor to a tag or an automation sequence.

At any step in a Flow, you can choose to send some info to your ConvertKit account.
You have three choices:
  1. - Add email subscriber to form (ConvertKit)
  2. - Tag email subscriber (ConvertKit)
  3. - Add email subscriber to a sequence (ConvertKit)

For each option, choose from the list of Actions at any step by clicking the + icon in the Actions box for the step.

Keep in mind, you can trigger the integration at any step within a flow but you have to have collected their email during the step or at a previous step.

  • Add email subscriber to form
You will be prompted to choose a form to subscribe the visitor to.
If the visitor with this email address doesn't exist in your ConvertKit Account, a subscriber is created and any information you have collected and mapped (step 2) will be sent.
If the email address already exists in your account, the contact will get updated with any information they fill out that you have chosen to send along (step 2).

  • Tag email subscriber.
You will be prompted to choose one or more tags to add to the subscriber.
When a visitor fills out the Flow, if the subscriber already exists in your  account, the chosen tags will be added to their ConvertKit profile, otherwise a subscriber will be created with the relevant tags automatically for you.
Any additional details will be sent along and update the subscriber if you mapped any on step 2.

  • Add email subscriber to a sequence
You will be prompted to choose an Automation Sequence to add the subscriber to.
When a contact fills out the Flow, if the contact already exists in your account, it will be added to the Sequence otherwise a contact will be created and then added to the chosen Sequence automatically.
Any additional details will be sent along and update the contact if you mapped any on step 2.
